Hi,

When I try to restart apache services through <Ubersvn installation>/bin/httpd -k restart , get the following error:
[notice] SIGHUP received. Attempting to restart
httpd: Could not open configuration file ./conf/httpd.conf: No such file or directory

Any help where this error is coming from?

creating repositories from command line

Hello,

We should create large infrastructure for our every project. For automatization we create script wich create infrastructure using our systems api. We love ubersvn, but at this time it is single system without public automation api.
We need to create repositories from our script.
Are you planning to extend ubersvn with api? May be we can write our own uberapp for making repos from remote command?

Thank you very much!

Ubersvn new user doesn't work

Hi everyone,
My ubersvn installation is integrated with an Active Directory service. All users are already imported to ubersvn using the "get users from selected" button in "ldap locations" page.
The problem is when I create a new repository and grant read/write permission to a user that has never logged into ubersvn. He/She just can't checkout the repository using a svn client.

So, the "solution" that I came up with was to:
1. ask the user to log into ubersvn website for the first time and logout (even though the user already exists in ubersvn database since it was imported).
2. I revoke and then grant permission back to the user on that repository.
3. Restart ubersvn.

Sometimes that "solution" simply doesn't work.

What can be happening? It should work normally without any intervention. It seems ubersvn is not loading permissions to svn server correctly.

Downloading updates stuck at 10%

Hello,

I decided to install the available updates to our uberSVN server but the 'download updates' process got stuck at 10% on the second file it was downloading. It has been stuck for a while so I'm sure something timed out or the connection got reset in the middle of the download process.

Code:

Name        Description        Categories        Current Version        Available Version        Last Modified        Last Update Status        Status
subversion17        Subversion 1.7 Binaries        Core        1.7.8-1        1.7.9-3        2013-04-22        10%        Downloading...
subversion16        Subversion 1.6 Binaries        Core        1.6.20-1        1.6.21-3        2013-04-22        Success        Ready for update

Is there a way (manual or otherwise) to clear the status or restart the download to be able to complete the process and install the updates?

Thanks!

High CPU and Disk access

Hi All,

Im running UberSVN #13.2-3153. SVN - 1.7 on Linux Debian squeeze (running as a KVM virtual machine)

Everything works well from an end user point of view but periodically the CPU usage on the server goes to 100% and Disk Access also goes high.

The process using the disk and CPU is Java -Djava.util.logging.config.file=/opt/ubersvn/tomcat/.....etc

There are many of these processes and its just 2 of them going crazy.

The current timings are very regular: 15-16 mins of crazy, followed by 9-10 mins calm.

I dont see anything in syslog of any interest. I have verified there is nothing wrong with the server hardware.

Any suggestions?
Thanks
Tim

Reducing number of running processors

I was planning on running ubersvn on a 512MB Amazon EC2 server but after installing it in the office on a server with nothing but centos and ubersvn, it uses up 1854MB RAM.

After looking at the running processors, there are LOADS of ubersvn java processes running (About 50 ? i didnt count exactly).

Since there are only 2 developers in the team, is there anyway to reduce the number of processors, which i presume are listeners? to save RAM?

Unable to connect to repository :9880

Hi

I've been using uberSVN for about 3 months with no issue, then yesterday afternoon it suddenly prevents me from now committing or updating existing or new repositories. I'm using tortoiseSVN to connect and I get an Unable to connect to a repository Access forbidden.

When I browse the repository on the URL on port 9880 it also no longer displays but did before. I now get Unable to get latest revision when I try.

Strange that this just started about 2pm yesterday afternoon. I've tried the usual, server reboot, service restart etc but still have the same issue. Anyone else? anyone know a solution?

Changing E-Mail template

Hi,

Is it possible to access the templates which define text and style of the e-mail notifications of uberSVN? The standard text and style is not suitable for our requirements and in order to use the mailing system we have to adapt it.

Thanks in advance and best regards
Christoph

I tested inputting the following line in a comment on a post in the dashboard.

Hello <script> alert("Hi, there!"); </script>

The script got executed. An alert box was shown.
An <input> tag can also be entered.

Is there an option to prevent users from doing this?

Starting SVN server

We are having a problem with starting SVN server from web portal. Currently attempt to start SVN server from web portal results in error message "Your attempt to start the Apache server has failed." This is particularly strange since SVN server is actually starting up nicely, and everything works as intended. Only problem is that web portal shows that server is not running, which is confusing. Also a direct consequence of this is that it is impossible to restart or stop SVN server from web portal since it thinks server isn't running in the first place. Starting, Stopping and restarting the server from command line works fine and results in no errors. Apache error log isn't showing anything out of ordinary, so the problem must be in uberSVN?

We are running uberSVN version 13.2 build 3153 on Ubuntu server 12.04.

All ideas are appreciated.

UberSVN and Drobo (NAS) repositories

I am (very) new and completely inexperienced in SVN (of any kind), a Graphic Designer that used to rely on Adobe's Version Cue versioning system and now I am (hopping to) migrating our repositories to an SVN and having them located in a 15T Drobo 5N NAS. Unfortunately I cannot find a way to have UberSVN sucessfully create and later find and use any repositories at the Drobo's.
Please, any help is really appreciated, even if it is to let me know that UberSVN will not allow repositories to be located at Network drives — hopefully that is not the case.

Help Undoing "Use LDAP for uber login authentication" Switch

So I thought I had everything set up right to switch over to LDAP authentication for uber access. So, I went ahead, and clicked the button for: "Use LDAP for uber login authentication" = YES.

I logged out, and logged in with my LDAP ID, and it logged in, but although I do have "System Admin" permissions in my profile, I don't have access to all of the administration tools. So, I can't get back in to set "Use LDAP for uber login authentication" back to NO.

So, my question is, what file and option do I need to edit to set this value back to NO so I can log in with my local uber admin account?

I'm running: © WANdisco 2013 - #13.2-3153 SVN - 1.7 on Windows.
Thanks,
George

Web interface failed after update

I recently updated an existing UberSVN installation using the web browser (IE 9) I successfully updated the core for both 1.6 and 1.7, but when I updated Apache Tomcat the web browser shut down and when I try to connect I get the following error.

HTTP Status 404 -

type Status report

message
description The requested resource () is not available.

Apache Tomcat/6.0.35

I am sorry I don't know the exact version that I updated from because I can't get in to check. It was a fairly recent update. SVN is still running so I can administer from the command line, but I would like to get the browser back. I am reluctant to disrupt my users by doing a hotcopy and reinstall just to fix the web interface.

I am running on a Windows 7 64 bit machine.

Thanks.

I have a brand new installation of uberSVN on CentOS 6.4

Everything seems to be working find other then uberApps (due to corp firewall) and the Repository Browser.

When i try to view a file on the repository browser (i have tried many files type including txt, sln, c, ini, web.config) and all give me the same result.

When you click on the file the window says "The server refused the connection." and then basically the server hangs and i have to restart all the uberSVN services. "./ubersvncontrol stop/start"

Not sure how to fix this. any help would be awesome!

I have tried with and without LDAP auth.

Attached is a small screen shot and my logs.

Can I integrate Mysql 5.6 and UberSvn

Hi All,

Have come across a small problem. I am trying to develop a java project using Eclipse(Galileo).
Everything was working fine till I tried to commit the Database Access class(ex:registration.java), its not getting committed.
I guess will have to integrate SVn an MySql, not sure how.

The Java Class has the connection details and the sql queries that are needed to run in MySql.
Apart from that class, everything else is getting committed.

Any kind of help here would be great. Because I am stuck here and cannot continue working anymore!

Error while committing:

org.apache.subversion.javahl.ClientException: Illegal target for the requested operation
svn: Commit failed (details follow):
svn: 'D:\Workspace\Maatlu\src\bp_Dao\RegistrationDAO.ja va' is not under version control
