Modifying a commit message

I have a local run ubersvn repository in my computer and I would like to modify a commit message that I have on my last commit. Is there anyway through ubersvn or tortoisesvn (which I use as an interface) to change the commit message of a previous commit? I am an admin.

LDAP saetup and limited users being imported

Hello All, this is my second issue im running into. I can connect no problem to my LDAP server, but when it pulls users i get only a few: Also i get htsi error code [LDAP: error code 4 - Sizelimit Exceeded]

Now is this a ubersvn issue or an AD issue. I have been reading that AD has a limit of 1000 users but do not know if this has to do with an AD setting or ubersvn

Problem with install on Win7 - Status 404

Hi,

I've just downloaded the Windows installer uberSVN-1211 and installed it onto my Win 7 Pro computer. Everything seemed to be going well until I clicked on the button 'Click here to continue the installation of UberSVN'. A browser window opened with the message 'HTTP Status 404, Description - The requested resource () is not available' (see attached graphic). I have MySQL installed and this was a clean install after uninstalling an earlier installation due to screwing up my localhost server. While the graphic shows a Chrome browser, I got the same result with IE9.

I checked the documentation but couldn't find anything there to indicate what I'd done wrong.

What have I done wrong, or failed to check?

Advice appreciated.

UberSVN restart problem

I installed uberSVN under /opt/ubersvn. It was running smoothly. But; suddenly I found some error when I try to start/stop by using the command....
/opt/ubersvn/bin/ubersvncontrol stop
/opt/ubersvn/bin/ubersvncontrol start

The requested view does not exist

Hi

I've recently installed uberSVN and uploaded a few repositories, when I log in as admin and click on the repository and click the browse tab I get the message that the requested view does not exist. Am I doing something wrong or missing a file?

Newbie to SVN in general so any help would be much appreciated.

FYI if I browse to the repo URL (not via the admin panel) I can see the files

Repositry listing access denied

When I installed ubersvn first time on windows all repositories were listing when I was entering base url for svn. BUt now they are not listing and I am getting forbidden. But when I access reposirty diretly its fine.

Please advice

problems with server's ip

Hi, sorry for my English :)

Win 2003, UberSvn-1211, FF 16

When I install UberSVN, I see a window in which I need to enter the ip-address of the server.


If I enter "127.0.0.1", then all is OK, but if I enter the real ip-address, for example, "10.50.200.100", I get an error 404 after installation and configuration. Restarting the Server \ UberSvn not helped.

Can anyone help me?

UberSVN Users Dashboard viewing

Hi,

Got a little question as I'm trying to use UberSVN to manage Teams,
I noticed that when a user updates an svn repository,
it is showed in the dashboard of every one.
Is it possible to limit a user access dashboard only to the teams he is related to.

Can't get uberSVN running

Hello,

I've done the installation of uberSVN on a VM and it worked.
Now I tried to install it on my vserver at Strato. (German hosting provider)

After the installation succeeded I got following
Code:

Your uberSVN installation is nearly ready.
Visit the following URL to complete configuration:
http://:9890/ubersvn

**************************************************
Normally there should be an IP / Hostname but as you can see there is nothing just the port ant path.
On my VM it worked perfectly, I got my LAN IP and I was able to configure it.

On my vServer runs another Apache on port 80. I don't know if that's the problem.

Here is some information about the server / client:

Version: uberSVN-32-1211.sh (Linux Chimney House 32-bit)
OS: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 32-bit
Browser: doesn't matter, used Chrome, FF, IE.

Repositories Browser

Hello,

I have uberSVN installed on a Windows 2008R2 server. The versions is #12.10-1766 SVN - 1.7

My question / problem is that when I'm in the uberSVN GUI I navigate to a repository and then to the "Browse" tab. However I don't see anything except the following:

[show recent changes]                                        Go to revision        Go to path
                                                        HEAD                  /

Rev: HEAD - https://svn.mycompany.com:5480/SMART

Unable to get latest revision

Repository Browser based on sventon (Copyright (c) 2005-2010, the sventon project. All rights reserved) version: 0.1 beta

Shouldn't I see the files in the repo??

Novice Question: Migrating UberSVN Win7 Repo to Ubuntu

So there's two things:

1) I currently have UberSVN installed on a Win7 and I am moving it (hopefully tonight) to a Ubuntu install, on the same physical PC.
2) I unfortunately haven't used UberSVN in ~4 months and I cannot remember my password.

So, I assume there is probably some super easy 1-button method of backing up the repo and installing that back-up file once I get UberSVN installed on Ubuntu. Since I cannot do that (because of Fact 2), what is the correct way to do this manually? Can I just simply zip up the repo folder, move it to a flash drive, wipe Win7 and install Ubuntu, then import saved repo into UberSVN Ubuntu?

Lost Admin Account - is there a way to reset the password or make a diff acct admin?

Hi,

We had an employee set up ubersvn and he configured himself as the only admin. This person has since left the company and all of his local account details (such as email) have long since been deleted. Now we need to gain admin access to the ubersvn system, and we know his username in the system, but not his password. Is there any way to reset this, or make a different user the admin user? We are running 12.4-9741 with SVN 1.6.

I searched the groups and it mentions a "resetadmin.py" script - that is not existent on my install, so I did a search, found it from a newer install (on a different machine) and copied it to the bin directory and run it - it seems to run fine, but the web ui still prompts for a password on that admin user account, and if left blank, just denies the login.

How do I gain control of this service?

SMTP Authentication Error

Hello,

We've been using uberSVN for some time now, and overall we're pleased with it.

However, one bit of functionality lost is the SMTP e-mail notifications. I've tried for many hours to get this to work, but I'm lost.

Here's what happens:

- I configure the e-mail server with the correct information.
- I hit the "Test" button and receive the following:

"Unable to send email: No authentication mechansims supported by both server and client"

When I check the logs, all I see is essentially the same message. Is there anything I can do to try and track this down?

uberSvn and bug tracking

Hi,

We are using UberSVN platform in our company and very pleased.
We have to install a bug tracking environment to work with.
As I understood, UberSVN is working on implementing bug tracking environment.

I will appreciate to know:
1. when it will be released
2. What bug tracking system is the basis for that ?
3. Will it be for free ?

I want to know if to wait or install something by my own.
